Dear members we seem to be having difficulty with the farm yard parking which the committee are trying to resolve, in the meantime there is a lay-by close to the entrance so please park here, however there may not be room for more than three cars. Hopefully we can sort this issue asap.

Work Party Monday 1st of July at BSA

Only six members attended the work party today out of the 250 that are registered , a general tidying up of swims was achieved with some minor repairs to swims around the lake one significant improvement was the removal of a large overhanging branch in peg 39. A BIG thank you for Dave 'Chainsaw Cooper', Paul Cooper, Ron Carter, Dave Freeman, Trevor 'Tree Hopper' Pavitt and Martin Charnock for volunteering for their effort & hard work that took place today.

Work Party Monday 16th July

Only seven members took part in the work party today and although few in numbers a considerable amount of work around the Bottom lake was achieved. The amount of litter we found in the undergrowth was clearly from anglers who are clearly to blame, tins of corn and empty drink bottles were to name but a few. Remember even if you see litter left behind please take it home and dispose of it. If you are one of the culprits the game keeper is now taking the members details daily, via the car park permit.  If he walks around the lake and discovers litter left behind in the swim you had been fishing you may find your membership not being renewed the following year you have been warned !.

Well done to those that attended left to right Paul Cooper, Dave Cooper, Gerald Wheeler Ron Carter, Trevor Pavitt. Also not shown Martin Charnock & Les Collins.

Work Party Number 1 Oakleys

I would just like to add, that I was extremely dissapointed with the lack of support shown by our members today. For a club that has in excess of 170 members, only five members including myself bothered to show up.

These work party's are for the benefit of all, we all use the waters and it is therefore the responsiibility of each and everyone of us to keep them in good working order. To the five hardy few .... who bothered to show up namely from left to right Dave Freeman, Graham'Jonno' Johnson, Dave 'Chainsaw' Cooper & Trevor Pavitt, I would like to thankyou for all your hardwork. We managed to achieve an awful lot even taking into account all of the laughing we had cheers guys.

With the removal of a fallen tree three more swims are now fishable after today.
